What if I cannot attend the tryout? Please contact Mike Squillante at 862-812-1269 of mike@gslaxacademy.com if you have an issue with this date.

Is there a fee for the tryout? Yes, there is a minimal fee for the tryout to cover cost. Each player will be given a GSLA pinnie that is theirs to keep. The pinnies are numbered and allows us to fully evaluate each player in a systematic way.

Do current GSLA players need to tryout? Yes, unfortunately club lacrosse is incredibly competitive and all players need to tryout for their roster spot annually.

When will final decisions be made? We will be making our final decisions soon after the tryout. We ask that parents do not speak to the coaching staff after the tryout as we need to regroup as a team of coaches to complete our evaluations.

How are the teams named? The teams are named after the year of high school graduation year.

Will GSLA interfere with my recreation season? No, we expect and encourage players to participate in their recreation seasons. We may have one optional practice per week toward the end of the recreation season.

How many practices and summer tournaments will GSLA be entered in? We suggest you visit the Summer Tournament page and use that as a guide. Typically GSLA will enter in 4-5 tournaments for the older teams and 3-4 tournaments for the younger teams. We will pracitce 15-20 times in our summer season depending on field availbility and weather conditions.

What if I have more questions?  Please use the Contact Us page in the About GSLA tab and complete the form and we will contact you promptly.
